Researching History Of Music videos 100-91

Today in media we started to watch channel 4's top 100 pop music video's, these videos showed songs from 1960-2003. In this video the 100th song on the list was a music video by Musical Youth called pass the dutchie and it was made in 1982 and was the first black British band to perform on TV. This song was about smoking  drugs. This group was a group of young boys, the youngest one was 11 when the song pass the dutchie came out which in other words meant pass the cannabis and the oldest member of the band at the time was 15. In this video they told the audience a story and also this group was the first black act that performed on MTV and it invented a brand new genre of music called reggae.


The 99th video on the list was a song by supergrass called pumping up the stereo and it was released in 1989, whereas number


98 was a song by bronski beat called smalltown boy and it was made in 1984, this song was about a young man's isolation of being gay because back in the 70's homosexuality had only just become acceptable so 10years later was a huge impact on people.


97 is a song by cornershop called brimful of asha and t was made in 1988 and waz filmed in 2 different places.


96- is a song called 21 seconds by So Solid Crew which was made in 200, in this song the rapper's introduce themselves in 21seconds, there was a total of 20 young rappers in this video and it became number 1 in 2001


95- is a song by the cardigans called my favourite game and this video was made in 1998, this video is about a failing love affair and six camera's in this video didn't survive.


94- is a song by bonnie tyler called total eclipse of the heart and this video was made in 1983, this video is about bonnie tyler having a dream or fantasy about her student's in a boys boarding school.


93- is a song by mike jagger called we love you and this was made in 1967 and this video showed how drugs can effect someone and in this video it shows you how drugs were inflicted on band members and this video was made just before the singer went to court.


92- is a song by Herbie Hancock called Rock it that was made in 1983, and in this video it shows you robot's masturbating under the cover which adds huge value to the song.


91- is a song by the special's called ghost town, this video was made in 1981
