Audience Theory Continued
The audience choose to consume certain texts for their own entertainment, also they may be more interested in some texts more than others. Audiences consume texts by interacting with different things such as TV,they may see a product advertising and the advert may influence them to buy the product or they may do something to fit in with the other people like watching football because they're friends are and it may influence the way you think about something.
There are three theories of audience that we can apply to help us come to a better understanding about the relationship between texts and audience.
These are:
The Effects Model or the Hypodermic Model
The Uses and Gratifications Model
The Reception Theory
