Audience Theory Continued

The audience choose to consume certain texts for their own entertainment, also they may be more interested in some texts more than others. Audiences consume texts by interacting with different things such as TV,they may see a product advertising and the advert may influence them to buy the product or they may do something to fit in with the other people like watching football because they're friends are and it may influence the way you think about something. 


There are three theories of audience that we can apply to help us come to a better understanding about the relationship between texts and audience. 


These are:
The Effects Model or the Hypodermic Model
The Uses and Gratifications Model
The Reception Theory
                                                             

Group editing

These are some pictures that were taken during our group editing the music video. In these pictures it shows us that all the members of the group were taking part in order to make the music video very successful and it showed we all had responsibility for editing the music video. they also show that we didn't leave one member of the group to do all the editing

Group filming

These pictures show us as a group filming some parts of the music video,as you can see Naima played a huge part in this because she was the main actress in this music video and she was singing along to the song to show real emotion. During this part of the filming she was singing about manipulation being her favourite game as it said in the lyrics.

Filming and Editing for Valentines Park

Today we filmed at valentines park which is in Ilford. In the clips from the park we have Naima thinking about her and her ex being together in the park before they split up and walking around as a happy couple. During this filming we had many funny moments and many serious moments. We also recorded her sitting alone on the bench where her and her ex used to hang together. During our filming we have been editing the parts in the park, one of the things we did was show Naima and Sam together and then him disappearing and them two no longer together. By doing this it showed us that she was missing her ex and regretted everything what she caused to happen between them which caused them to break up. In these clips we can see that she is very emotional by her face expressions.

Student Digipak Analysis

Today in media we looked at many different digipaks, one of the digipak's we looked at was made by The Vixens as you can see on the Cd cover and they used handwritten art to write the name of all the members of the band and they also took imagery from the music video called voodoo child of they're high heel shoes and they used split screen in the music video too. In the music video which is down below it looks very professional the way it has been edited by the media students and they look like a real girl band. In the music video it shows them enjoying themselves and in different outfits throughout the whole music video which makes it very interesting to watch.

This album cover is by Albert Hammond Jr, this cover makes you think of the atmosphere being calm and relaxing because it shows you animals which are happy and shows you the sun in the background which represents calmness and happiness. This is very effective because it gives us as an audience an idea of what kind of music the artists are trying to portray across to us.

Filming in Goodmayes

Today me and my group went to Goodmayes Park to do our filming but our original plan was to go to Valentines Park but we didn't have enough time to go there as we missed our first bus and had to wait for the next one. We filmed in many different parts of the park such as the couple happy together and mucking around with the leafs. One part of this music video was filmed on a bridge when Naima was singing and watching the birds alone. In this part it also shows memories of her and her ex boyfriend together watching the ducks and looking into the sunset. We used many different shots in the park such as close ups and mid-shots. We showed a close up of Naima singing on the bridge and we showed a mid-shot of Naima and Sam's happy memories together. 

The Meeting about music video going wrong

In lesson today we had a meeting and made a change of plans for our music video. During this meeting we discussed what went wrong about the video and why it went wrong. We realised that the actress we used in the video didn't look at the camera throughout the whole of the filming.

Filming locations of Music video

This map is the map of valentines park, it shows us different parts of the park so we have many options of where we want to film. These images are possible places in the park we can film in such as a lake, near a house or in a maze in the park. We have chosen valentines park to film one of our parts of the music video because it is a very beautiful park and there are so many nice places in different parts the park.

This is the entrance to valentines park and straight away from looking at the entrance you can tell that it is a modern park and would be very attractive.

This is a modern house in the park near a pond in valentines park which also shows it is very modern.

This is the beautiful lake in valentines park hopefully this winter it will still look as beautiful because it would be perfect to film parts of our music video next to the lake.

This video represents what people think of our song choice. In this video we asked the people three questions and these questions were:

 They replied saying it reminded them of Adele and Kelly Clarkson because she has a calm mellow voice which instantly can catch the audiences attention and cause them to feel emotion the way she does. The final question was:
